Darell Blogging

What is a blog?

A blog is writing for an online audience. In a blog, the most recent posts/entries are seen first. This is in contrast to a diary, where the most recent entry is at the end. An author can write a blog about any topic they wish. If there blog appeals to an audience, they will get ‘followers’ who read and leave comments on their work.

Blog comments often contain corrections that someone has highlighted in the comments. An author knows that a published post may get none/some/many comments. Comments may be helpful, unhelpful, spam or irrelevant. Comments themselves make interesting reading.

This software, for creating a blog, is available for any London school to use. You can decide how you want to use it:

  • a geographic wow picture
  • the start of a ‘knock-knock’ joke
  • the next line of a poem
  • which one is the odd one out and why
